Picture this: a still pond, a peaceful walking path, a cozy cabin nestled in the woods—complete with a yoga studio and room to breathe.
A small, welcoming group of women (just like you) gathering to slow down, breathe, and recharge together.
Throughout the day, you’ll experience:
Two full yoga classes—easy stretching and movement designed for all bodies and experience levels- seriously
Two coaching circles—real talk about perimenopause, hormones, and how to support your health without guilt, dieting, or perfectionism
Nourishing meals—light breakfast, catered lunch, snacks, and beverages, all thoughtfully prepared and included
A guest expert speaker, holistic gynecologist Dr. Yas from Alway GYN in Raleigh to share wisdom and expertise on navigating menopausal health with confidence

About Your Hosts
Kate Williams Stone (She/Her)
Kate is a non diet health and life coach who specializes in helping women calm the mental chatter around their perimenopause symptoms so they can stop wondering "WTF is happening to my body?" and start feeling energized and calm again.
Kate has professional coaching certifications in intuitive eating, body image, weight neutral health coaching (HAES) from the non diet certification program with Stephanie Dodier (Going Beyond the Food Method™). In addition, she is also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Coaching (CBC) with a trauma informed and feminist perspective. Kate is a certified health and life coach from Health Coach Institute, along with additional Intuitive Eating training with Evelyn Tribole (co-creator of Intuitive Eating).
KERRY CARLSON (SHE/ HER)
Kerry completed her 200 RYT at Carrboro Yoga Company. She came to yoga after a running injury and quickly realized that she had found a new passion that strengthened her body as well as her mind.
Now, Kerry loves to share the gift of yoga with her students. Her classes focus on finding moments of stillness, linking breath to movement and diving deeper into the intention behind the poses. She offers opportunities for challenge, but also reminds students to listen to their bodies, as they change from day to day. She especially enjoys teaching women and cultivating female connections.
Off the mat, Kerry loves to cook, read, garden, hike and paint. Her greatest joy is time with her family.

DR HAJIRA YASMIN "YAS" (SHE/HER)
Hajira Yasmin, M.D. FACOG, IF, NCMP, AASECT(CSC), is a Board-Certified OB-GYN with expertise in sexual medicine being an AASECT certified Sexuality Counselor and NAMS (North American Menopause Society) certified Menopause Practitioner. She has obtained sexual medicine fellowship in women’s health with ISSWSH (International Society for Study of Women’s Sexual Health) and postgraduate training as Sexuality Counselor from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
She specializes in treating perimenopause, menopause hormonal balance, sexual dysfunction in women, vulvovaginal disorders including vulvo-vaginal pain, skin disorders of vulva, pelvic pain and restoring physical intimacy during survivorship care after cancer and conditions like fibromyalgia, diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disorders and any other chronic illness.
Outside of medicine, she loves hiking with her friends, family including her puppy, exploring new places and structured fitness training with clean nutrition. She also enjoys spiritual and personal growth activities like yoga, meditation and life coaching.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Absolutely NO Yoga experience required. The two yoga classes are gentle, beginner-friendly, and designed for every body.
The yoga practices will include gentle movement and stretching to calm and reconnect you with your body. You will learn breathing techniques to cool the body during hot flashes and calm the nervous system during times of sleeplessness and stress.

A simple breakfast, a catered lunch, and snacks will be provided to you, along with coffee, tea and drinks throughout the day. Vegan and vegetarian lunch options will be available.
You're welcome to bring your own food if you prefer. There is a refrigerator, if you bring your own food.

A yoga mat (if you would like your own - extras available on site)

A mug for coffee or tea
Recommended, but not required: sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray and a good book.

The focus of this retreat is a time to slow down, unplug, reconnect and learn a few things about navigating the ups and downs of the normal hormonal transition of perimenopause. While some of the people in attendance may be parents, it is not a parenting focused retreat.

No discounts, but you’re welcome to opt out of any session and enjoy the quiet surroundings instead. You may bring a favorite book, make a cup of tea or coffee, walk around the pond or take a nap on the couch. This is your day.

Absolutely. This retreat is a body-positive and inclusive space for anyone experiencing midlife and its transitions.

A refund will offered with written notice before August 15th, 2025. There is a $25 processing fee for a refund deducted from your refund.
After August 15th, you may transfer your registration to a friend, but no refunds will be offered.

Swimming in the pond is strictly prohibited. Smoking on site is strictly prohibited. You may not bring or use firearms, fireworks, and glitter/confetti on the property.
